FOLLOW UP ON PATRICK KAHUMA
He's the kid from Uganda that we raised $6000 for
The surgeries went perfectly!
We flew Patrick from the Republic of Uganda in Africa to Chapel Hill, NC for life saving treatment. Patrick's heart condition, severe pulmonary valve stenosis, required multiple surgeries to correct his defective heart. At age 18, he was slowly dying. He basically had no hope, and that's why we picked him to save with our LIVE FOR LIFE event in NC. We raised the money, got him here, and he checked into the hospital a few weeks ago.
Everything went exactly as planned by the doctors, and both surgeries that Patrick had went well. He instantly noticed a change for the better, having much more energy than he's ever had before.
Patrick left for Uganda today, ready to begin his second chance at life. Once he's completely recovered, he'll go back to school where he'll enter the 3rd grade (since he's been so sick for so long he only completed 2nd grade). Hopefully he'll live a long and fulfilling life.

Updated SITE, Updated STORE
Biggest event yet coming April 09
We know our site hasn't run so smoothly in the past few weeks, but we've fixed it. People have had problems with ordering clothes in our store, there haven't been many updated products, and most recentely our site was hacked into by a Turkish super-hacker (not kidding, screw that guy).
We've fixed all these problems, and we're taking this opportunity to let you know what's going on with Thrust...
Right now we're planning for the largest event we've ever hosted, and it's going to be in WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA in early April 2009. It's going to be a concert (list of bands to come), a skate contest, a mural project (similar to the one at Gilgo Beach, NY), a trade show, and an insane party all rolled into one. Additionally, we're using the event to make $5000 to donate to Gift of Life International, which is a charity that pays for an open heart surgery for an underpriviledged kid. With that 5 grand, someone will be alive after this event.
That's where we get the name of the event:
THRUST LIVE FOR LIFE
We get to listen to sick tunes, watch sick art and skating, and have a blast, and a kid will be alive because of that. How insane is that? We figure that even though our world has been pretty insane lately, we're all still pretty lucky to be where we are today. THIS IS HOW WE'LL SHOW IT.
Stay tuned for updates. thanks
